Vintage Roadtrip 2011 + Giveaway Winner!

Last weekend, I slacked off. I didn't go through all the entries to my give-away. I went on a road trip instead. I have not had a weekend off from work in nearly 3 months, so I took full advantage of my consecutive free days and hit the road. We wandered off through out Oregon, and thrifted in every town we came across. We crossed mountains, canyons, and a few high deserts covered in snow.



I acquired a good deal of vintage that's heading into ye olde Etsy Shop this week, and spent some much needed time relaxing and having fun.

Up 'Til Midnight

As is my style, this blog post is a day late and a dollar short, but for the sake of pointless outfit sharing I present my New Years Dress. (Yes, it is a proper noun.)

I won this dress from the amazing give-away put on by the lovely Carol of Dandelion Vintage! This dress was dead stock with tags, originally priced at $49.99. It is made of fantastic taffeta, with a center strip of silk velvet... awesome, plain and simple... awesome. I felt like an over-dressed princess all night, as we went to a local restaurant specializing in mac & cheese, frog legs, and girls in mini skirts. But really what's the point of going out if you are not painfully overdressed for the occasion?

Because I am a lack lustre blogger, with a forgetful little brain I didnt manage to bring my camera out to dinner or drinks. I did manage to get these few late night shots of my dress, just before midnight.

The new year has been so delightful in so many wonderful ways. I am very excited to see where this year will take me. I wish you all a wonderful new year!
