Staying Occupied

I am somewhere near 39 weeks pregnant. I have been having false labor for nearly 8 days straight.
I am not one to complain about pregnancy, and I will gladly wait til my time is done, but false labor is really unfair on an uncomfortably chubby woman with insomnia. Because of my current situation, I am doing anything and everything to keep my mind off the fact that I am still pregnant. Today was preschool field trip day to the library, so I over did my make up, and matched up all my accessories. I took walks through the neighborhood, and went to the local bakery. I made Toma take blog pictures. All to help me feel a little.. distracted.

Even Margaux likes to accessorize, unfortunately she likes to do it with my belongings. My mustard gloves were missing for quite some time after our shoot, found them in a toy box.
I hope the next time I write to you dear readers I am writing as a non-pregnant woman... but that doesn't look very promising. A girl can dream right?

I had false labor every night for almost 3 weeks before my son was born, but his birth seemed so quick because I went into it 5cm dilated and 80% effaced. Best wishes!

Hang in there, I was a week and a half late with my second daughter. She was born at 9lbs. Not trying to scare you.

You are probably the most gorgeously over-ripe woman I've seen! Hang in there!

Goodness... I sure hope if and when the day comes that I'm 39 weeks pregnant, I look as fabulous! :) Though I can sympathize about wanting the last leg of it to be over; everyone I've known who has been pregnant of late says those final few weeks are the hardest. ;) Fingers crossed the little one makes an appearance soon!

Surely the prettiest pregnant lady in the US? I hope baby pops out soon, but as long as it's healthy - that's the important thing! Chin up xxx

Such a glamourous mumma. I wish I'd looked that fashionable when I was 39 wks pregnant. The final stretch does feel like forever, doesn't it? Hope little Olive doesn't make you wait too long for her grand arrival. Try and rest up. Lots of luck, and sending you big hugs for the birth. Don't forget to breathe! ;)

It's funny how little daughters love to "borrow" mommy's things. One of my favorite eye shadow brushes was missing for months. I finally found it the other day in my daughter's toy vanity.

I was a week late giving birth. I know the feeling of dressing up to distract yourself.

You may not feel well, but you look great! Hang in there!
