Wonder Woman

Every once in a blue moon I hit the streets in fully modern attire. Not often, but sometimes, I piece together crazy outfits, with anything I have laying around. The other day was one of those times, and it was met with confusion. I was stopped at preschool by someone commenting on how "patriotic" I looked. I smiled and said, hey, I guess I will blog about being Wonder Woman.
After preschool I popped in to the Urban Eccentric to see Solanah at work, and she took a few shots of my red white and blue attire.

I wore plain chuck taylors, and a cute bow from Lucky Cupcake Hairclips. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever grow up, and the answer is... Probably not.
Solanah looked amazing in a great 50s dress with a stellar bronze belt, while my little lady tried on some teal kicks. I was Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Princess America... whatever anyone wants me to be... but I looked cool doing it! HA!

Love the outfit- it's awesome! Definitely something I would wear to do the school run. I LOVE my Converse sneakers, so it's so great to see you wearing them with a cute outfit. I wasn't sure if you could still carry off a cute vintage/modern look with sneakers, so to see you do this has given me some great ideas of what to wear ( and my 5yr old son will think I'll look cool ;) ).

I like your outfit! Super cute! I'm not a big fan of Converse sneakers for me but you pull them off. And I just love your daughter trying on the heels!

I can't get enough of your hair, it's gorgeous!
...Mine has been just massacred by a hairdresser this week, who decided when seeing me walking in with waist length hair, that I deserved the ugliest, most unflattering cut that ever was...

Awesome outfit. Converse with a skirt, I shall have to remember that :)How cool is Solanah's job, I'd say that the majority of people dread to get up in the morning and go into their workplace. She's a lucky girl.

I think part of the fun of having a certain sense of self-assured style is that you can play with your look/wardrobe sometimes! Even though it isn't "vintage" (*coughcough* I don't always dress in "vintage" everyday either... I have fashion ADD and sometimes go off on little rabbit trails of style!), it still is super cute and very you! :)

Why does someone inevitably say something about "patriotic" when wearing red/white/blue? It's one of my favorite color combinations, but sometimes the comments/questions get a bit much. (Coupled with being a military spouse... yeah, I've kind of put outfits in those colors on hold! lol.) haha.
