Yesterday marked America's Birthday... or something to that extent. If you live State Side you probably had a 4th of July Party, and lit fireworks off into the night. That is precisely what we did.
The family and I headed over to Team Jessup's house where many other friends were gathered. Solanah, Sam, Coedith, Tiffanie, Amy, Tim and kids were all dressed for the occasion in the proper palate of Red, White and Blue. There was yummy food to go round, although I couldn't manage to get any of it on my plate, thus the sad face.
Solanah's outfit takes the cake on patrotic-ness, but really did you doubt that? No. She always has the best style this side of the Mississippi. Team Jessup's yard was cleverly decorated in tiny flags and flowers, And Solanah got held up by some intergalactic gangsters.
I invite you all to click the images to enlarge them, they are much more fun in full size! As the sun set, and we headed in to the firework hours the kids got prepared by waving flags around. Margaux was the leader of the flag parade, and possibly the only member of said parade.
It was an wonderful day overall, and I am glad I got to spend it with my family and so many fantastic friends. Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend.

My goodness, you all certainly looked quite festive. :) And, don't feel bad. I have that same problem with food all the time. Worse is getting it from plate to mouth. :(
