What are you reading?

I have a short list of "must read" blogs, but I feel like I could stand to read a few more. So I will share a few of my must reads, and I all ask, is that you share some of yours with me!

On my current list I have Temperamental Broad. She is too cute for words, and has great shopping taste.
Of course there are the givens like Solanah, Fleur de Guerre, and Casey. I always read these blogs, but I am sure you all do too!

I have been sucked into following Tuppence Ha'penny simply because of her fun pictures! She has great style, and a mean photoshop skill.
You all may know Solanah, but you may not know her darling Aunt also blogs over at Life in the Pink House. Solanah's aunt is a stylish mom of four, with a cute house, great tattoos and loves old junk!
I absolutely love reading Sewing is Hard, plus she always has great pictures of the hard stuff she sews. She is very crafty at taking 70s patterns and making them into 40s style pieces.

Mind you there are many more blogs I read, and would love to have the time to highlight them all today, alas...
Your turn! Who are you reading? Or if I am not following you what is your blog? Do share my dears!

Hiya Twila - have been reading your blog for a few months now and here is my first timid comment.

As an Australienne recently returned to the country of her raising after a number of years of international gadding about, I decided a way to embrace my return to Oz would be to seek out like-minded bloggers to follow.

So here is a list of my favourite "'Stralyan" bloggers (apologies if they are already on your radar):

My dear friend who designs and sews her own vintage-inspired clothing, plus upcycles thrift store finds (and is a med school student on the side, no less!) - http://mirth-thehouseof.blogspot.com/
Another designer and poster of very enviable daily outfits - http://harbour-master.blogspot.com/
The formidably glamourous and endlessly lovely Super Kawaii Mama - http://www.superkawaiimama.com.au/
And last, but certainly not least, another poster of gorgeous daily outfits and owner of covet-worthy summer frocks - http://esmeandthelaneway.blogspot.com/

So that's my Down Under wrap up - sadly lacking in Kiwis, a fault I will have to amend shortly.

I have so many favorites, in addition to the ones you listed. I'm going to assume that you also read other FL members like Lauren. Here are some vintage/style focused ones in no particular order:
Esme and the Lane Way
Pretty clothes, hair and makeup, nice pictures.
Gertie's Blog For Better Sewing
One of my absolute favorites. She sews some amazing vintage inspired pieces and gives lots of great tips and tricks. Adorable!
Kafferepet
It's in Swedish but she usually writes a little translation at the bottom. Super cute, lots of pretty dresses and gorgeous hairdos.
Gatsby and Me
I think she has a bit of a similar style to you. Really pretty and classic.
The Freelancer's Fashion Blog
Dock worker and burlesque dancer? What more could you want! Gorgeous hairstyles and clothes.

Hi Twila!

I have a huge blog reading list, but some of my favourites are of course the fabulous Fleur De Guerre, I also love MaryDeluxe at http://welcometodeluxeville.blogspot.com/ , Retrophile Diaries http://retrophilediaries.blogspot.com/ , and the Bobby Pin Blog http://bobbypinblog.blogspot.com/

It also wouldn't hurt to have a few more people taking a look at mine, I've not been blogging long ;) http://kalandrajane.blogspot.com/ (I actually did a post recently in response to the whole fur fiasco you suffered). xx

Ooo I'm definitely going to check a couple of them out!
I'm still new to the blogging thing but some of my favourites that you haven't mentioned above and who haven't been commented yet are:

Zoe who makes her own clothes and is currently doing a self imposed Me-Made-March where everything she wears is made or thrifted http://sozowhatdoyouknow.blogspot.com/

Meaghan who has some of the cutest outfits and prettiest photos
www.lefthandendeavor.blogspot.com/

And not sure if this one will apply so much as it very uk based but they support the craft community are just absolutely lovely girls...and they accepted me to sell at their next event :D
http://wearemadeintheshade.blogspot.com/

And of course there is me! I make retro 40s 50s clothing from vintage and recycled materials, everything is one off.

I could add so many more to the list but I shall stop before I get carried away!

My dear, how perfectly sweet of you to pick me out!

In addition to the other blogs you linked, which are now part of my reading list, I'm currently enjoying: 50s Times, A Cat of Impossible Colour, Bombshell Bettie and Va-voom Vintage, along with all the usual suspects - Casey, Fleur, Gertie and of course Solanah. Oh, since I'm here I might as well mention my sister's blog, Islay, which I enjoy reading even though I'm often part of the real life!

http://glamourdaze.blogspot.com/2010/03/1940s-fashion-how-to-dress-and.html is really good, and has really informative tips on how to do accurate hair and make-up from various decades (particularly the 1930s make-up post!), http://mila-loveology.blogspot.com/2010/03/flor-de-papel.html, and Blooming Leopold has such good DIY!!! And obviously Vixenvintage and Sallyjane vintage. We are just getting started with ours, we found all of these (along with yours) really helpful and inspiring.

Gee thanks Twila! I feel honored. I'm not sure who would read my little blog if it weren't for you and Solanah.
I always read both of yours and the other one I never miss is Bitch Cakes. I am finding more all the time as I am always interested to know my readers.
I find it interesting what a small world blogging actually is.

Shameless self promotion here but I like to describe my blog http://milliedeel.blogspot.com as a vintage version of Lucky Magazine, I kind of round up vintage and vintage inspired things that I love and post things that I buy as well. I'm definitely not very much of an "outfit of the day" blogger even though that seems to be what is the most popular and I have to admit I love looking at them too.

There's so many great blogs you've listed as well as in the comments that I've added to my blog roll!!
