I know a lot of you likely do the Aluminum tree thing, as that is pretty retro, and well, we are all pretty retro. I however, love the thrill of the hunt for the perfect tree, that fills my house with a aromatic pine scent. It feels especially christmas-y in my house at the moment, the new tree is by the fireplace with stockings and ornaments.
We took the kids up to the mountain where there is a delightful tree farm with a warm bonfire blazing, and hot cocoa for all. We picked our tree and the kids had cocoa and candy canes by the fire. I kicked the mud off of my high heel shoes, while all the mountain ladies looked at me like I was pure mad for wearing a skirt & petticoat to the tree farm. My hair was once in victory rolls which started to fall out when we got there, but you get the idea...

Oh, those pictures are so cute! We're going to cut ours next weekend, and I'm so excited! I can't wait to see photos of your decorated tree - I bet it will be lovely. :)
Yay! I want to come over and smell the Christmasy goodness. That is one thing I miss about a real tree ;)
Your kids look adorable. Nothing feels more like Christmas than the smell of a Christmas tree, I could never go for the fake version. Only strange thing here is that Christmas happens to be in the middle of summer! We often tend to decorate ours with sea shells and flowers instead.
oooo..i cant wait for xmas!!
Nothing like a real tree i say.
Gorgeous kids.
I gave you a blog award, check my blog to get it =)
Nobles are superior! :) You ARE mad for wearing heels and stuff!
Looking forward to seeing your tree and stockings!
We have an artificial as hubby is allergic! And while I am a vintage girl at heart I just can't stand the site of an aluminum tree! lol!
I bet your house smells delightful!
