Beat the Heat

If you happen to reside in the Pacific Northwest, you know that this week has been a record breaking heat wave. In fact, yesterday's paper said it was hotter in Vancouver, WA than it was in Cairo, Egypt. That is insanity!
I have had such trouble finding clothing to wear in such heat, and forget about hair! My styles melt as soon as I pull the pins out. I am so glad today has been cooler, at a nice crisp 94 degrees F.

To hide out from the heat we took the kids up to Grandma & Grandpa's house, which is sitting on a creek. We have played in the water and ate dinner at the creek house all week.
I finally got a good chance to wear my Esther Williams swimsuit I bought over at MyBabyJo.Com two years ago! By the way I highly recommend My Baby Jo for swimwear, but as an FYI the Esther Williams Sheath Suits run small, I am an XS, and the small is TOO small for me. Buy a size up!

Well on to some pictures of me and the metropolitan kids in the creek

In case you find yourself smack in the middle of an outrageous heat wave and need a lovely swim suit check My Baby Jo for different variations of my red one.

It comes in many colors of polka dots, leopard print, or solids.
They even have a few 2 piece suits as well.
Most are priced at $72.00

I love the Esther Williams swimsuit, I've been meaning to break down and buy one for a long time now (and besides it's not as if it's more expensive than any other swimsuit).
It's good to know they run small.
Lovely post, glad you got to enjoy your swimsuit.

I purchased an Esther Williams from MBJ a few years back and I still love it. Those photos of you and your two boys are adorable! Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks doll,

What a great way to cool off! Your kids will always have fond memories of playing in the creek when they were young....I know I still do!

You look so beautiful in your red suit with your kiddies. I have the suit in leopard print and I love it.
Happy Weekend to you and yours.

You do not get to bitch about the heat... It has been averaging 110-115 here in Phoenix. In fact at 11:00pm (at night) we are currently 90 degrees. LOL Plus, we have no conveniently located swimming holes. So to you, Madam, I stick out my tongue. Swimsuit's cute though. LOL

Awww such cute pictures of you guys. It has been so hot here in Texas as well , I am used to the 80 degree weather in California its so hard to get used to this humid hot weather. Its been in the 100's for 23 days! How can one keep their curls in it. ♥

You look seriously adorable! I love polka dots and one piece suits, so this style is right up my alley.

Hope your heat wave breaks really soon! We had a bit of one ourselves recently and I felt like a melted crayon the whole time, so I can certainly relate!

Wishing you a lovely - and cooler! - week ahead,
♥ Jessica

Looks like you were keeping cool in style! ;) I have been drooling over the swimsuits at My Baby Jo for quite some time... I just can't bring myself to purchase another swimsuit (I have a couple already, and we don't go to the beach that much...). Maybe one day! ;)
