Pin-Curl Pandemonium

Pandemonium. I am really glad I spelled that right!
So, normally, I pin-curl my hair about five nights a week.
I have two children under 3 years old, so the only time I have to myself is 10 pm. So, that is when I set my hair in petite pin-curls, and then I veg out in blog land, before retiring to the chambre à coucher.
When I am feeling too lazy to pin-curl I only do my bangs, and then I bust out the handy "sponge rollers."
When used properly, and carefully, these little rollers can give you some period authentic hair.
But beware, too tight, and too many, equals 80s poodle hair. . .

So this is my lazy set. I also parted it down the center, which I never do. I think it gave a nice 50s look.
My daughter seems to agree.

So never fear, if you have not mastered the Pin-curl, there is still hope in foam rollers!

Wow, that looks fantastic! Very 50's, I feel you should be holding Margaux on one arm, and a pie in the other.

Oh those darling baby cheeks! You both look like dolls.

Ooh your hair looks wonderful. You remind me of Jean Harlow, you lucky thing!. I pin curl mine sometimes, but find rag curls are easier to sleep in. Most days I plait it wet and put a net and bandana over it while it dries. Not very glam but does the job!

I have kids too, and I think extra kudos to mums who still find time for looking nice.
