I wanted to show you all a quick update from my 3 hour sweater knit-a-long. I have added Miss Cedar from the Vintage Wife to our party, as well as Relynn from Stumbling Through Life. Cedar is rocking the mustard colored yarn just like me, but she has a cute little baby to pose with her progress.
I am about 5 hours in so far, the back is complete, and the front is ... getting there. Relynn is knitting top down in the round with a modification she found here on this blog.
Anyone else want to join in? You should, I can't wait for everyone to show off the completed pieces. Cedar and I will be vintage blogging twins!

I've wanted to learn to knit for a REALLY long time so count me in! I'm going to do this. My grandma taught me how to knit and purl ages ago so I think I can knit a sweater! :)
I think I may join in! Top down, in the round is more my speed. I hate seaming.
YAY! If you join, make sure to send some progress pix and your links to its.twila.jean@gmail.com and I can share them on the week(ish)ly round up of peoples sweaters!

I'm in! I'm a new (read: slow) knitter. I'm working on the back in a beautiful green bamboo yarn :)
Ok, you are totally tempting me with that "3-hour" thing...although I know it would take me about 24 hours total. In the round is even more tasty!
you inspired me, but I'm not ready for a sweater yet since I am fairly new so I am working on a hat. Found out yesterday I got mixed up on needle size, had to rip out the 9 rounds I had done and start again, but it will go faster now. :-)
Ooh I made one of these using some really cheap acrylic yarn I had lying around...
I have yet to wear it - because I have nothing high waisted enough!! LOL
These look great!
Oh how I wish I could knit and join in on making the sweater but sadly I can't..
I can kinda crochet that's about it =/
I am in for sure! I posted about it on my blog.
