Letting it out

I imagine if you are a follower of my Fan Page, you heard this news last week. If you however reside only on my blog space, then you do not know this current info. Before we get all excited and pull out our judgment sticks and start whacking away at our keyboards, let my preface this a little.
While our situation is not ideal, we are happy, the kids are happy, and though incredibly stressful, we shall make it through this alive.
So, have you guess yet? I am sure you have... (there is a thumbnail image to this post. this JUST occurred to me.)
Yeah, in true unplanned, unmarried, kinda ghetto style... I am expecting my third (and FINAL) child in February. The silver lining in all of this is that I have never once planned to have a child, so none of them can try to play the "I was the planned kid" card in their teenage years.

So now we make the preperations for a child. This is the worst part I think, I helped a friend in need last year, and gave her ever baby item I own. So, now I am re-building from scratch. I guess we will call this an adventure. One where I gain 20 lbs, and lose a lot of money! Ha!
You know what else is a bummer, the fact that I sold this amazing 40s cotton maternity dress, and try as I might, can not buy it back. How fabulous of a dress would that be to wear in the prenatal season?

So. It is out. Follow or unfollow as you see fit. I am thankful for all the gifts in my life and I wouldn't turn a single one away. Alright then, carry on with your weekend. Nothing to see here.

Life isn't what happens, but what you do with what happens!

I love your sense of humour.

Both my babies were unplanned. I call them my little happy accidents. I kind of think it's the universe's way of giving you the things you don't know you want.

Good luck. I had nothing and no money with my first and you just make do. Babies actually need very little beyond a warm place to sleep, milk and lots of love, as I'm sure you know.

Congratulations!
So what if it's not planned, as long as its welcome and loved (as I'm sure it is!)! That's the most important thing! My grandma used to call her fourth (and final) child (she thought she had gone through menopause) the best surprise in the world! I think that is a great way to look at it!
Wishing you lots of love and a (virtual) big hug!

I already sent congratulations your way on Twitter, but I'll do it again! Congrats! Unplanned babies happen. Some children are pushy little things and are going to be born no matter what!

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! There's no formula for happines, just those beautiful gifts of life.
As for money - you know, in my country we usually say: "If God (higher power\fate\whatever) gives you a child, he (she\it) also gives you resources for feeding your child". So everything's gonna be fine, and I wish you all the best!

Congrats, I didn't plan my first either in fact I was single mother for a few years. Surprise babies are just as fun as the planned ones in my opinion.

Congrats! Babies are always a gift whether they are planned or a surprise, biological or adopted. I don't have any kids but a lot of my friends who do find lots of gently used cheap baby clothes at yard sales.

And I didn't know you had a fb page so now I can hop on over there and like you. :)

aww, congratulations!! I got "knocked up" with my second baby, very unexpectedly, while nursing and on the pill! It was a hell of a crazy ride but now that he's here, I tell him all the time that he is the best surprise of my life! I know its kind of insane to think that you may have time to sew but if you do, shoot me an email with your address. I have some super cute vintage maternity patterns that I would LOVE to pass on!
I don't know if you shop at Once Upon a Child or not. I found some really great, cheap maternity clothes (and newborn clothes) over there. Good luck, can't wait to read about your new adventure!!

WOW! Congratulations! loveaudry is right, they make us think baby's need a lot more than they do! And I think we are all a surprise, planed or not. How crazy is it that any of us are here? Life is all a game of chance, and I wish you a lot of luck!

I know I'm young but I can't wait to be married with children! And your little ones will grow up in style and learn the true value of beauty as it seems it is not just a thing of the past. As far as your maternity dress goes you will find one that is even more flattering and gorgeous I'm a big believer in that, just put it out there and it will just POP up like a happy surprise.
I can't wait to see your progress and Im sure your blog will be even more full and voluptuous, a tad bit funny than usual!

Congratulations on the happy news, now you have an excuse to shop for lots of vintage baby clothing and accessories! I always come across the most dear dresses and overalls but usually leave them behind as I don't have any wee ones to dress.

lets be honest, i don't think any of us were planned! congratulations to you and your family.

I love babies. They are wonderful. I know SOOOO many people who have been having babies in the past two months (most that I know in person) and then there are a few blogger people I follow expecting. it's so exciting. I used to always want to have three children. . .two boys and a little girl (like my mom had). However, we are done after having the two boys (and hopefully we can adopt a girl from Vietnam one day). If you need any baby clothes at all, let me know. . .because I know so many people who will be trying to find homes for all their baby clothes, and I am serious about sending you some if you need. My firstborn was planned, but the second one was a complete surprise and a beautiful blessing. How much weight did you gain with your two children? I gained 60 and 30, but at least you seemed to have lost it all afterwards right? I did. I know of so many women who don't even bother trying to get back in shape though. Anyway I hope that you will be able to have a very wonderful pregnancy. Rest up since you'll be running after your two other darlings!!!

I was a "happy surprise" as was my little bother ;) and both of my kids were as well! I'm with loveaudry, sometimes you're given what you didn't know you wanted. ;)
If there is anything you need any help with getting, let us know! I'll be happy to help out in any way I can!! And I would NEVER stop following your blog over this.

Although this is my first comment I've read your blog for a while. I am so very happy for you! You seem like such a wonderful and fun mom. It is unfortunate that you felt you had to make disclaimers lest you be judged - screw that. It's nobody's business whether your pregnancy is planned or you are married. And if any judgmental trouts unfollow you for it they can go peel bananas... I'm very excited for you and hope you have a lovely pregnancy, and I look forward to seeing some maternity style tips :)

I totally stand by the 'babies are a blessing" thiing. Of our 6 pregnancies, 2 were actually planned. Unfortunately we lost 2 prior to birth. Still, they were all a blessing in one way or another! Take good care of yourself and the wee one.

I was looking at some old posts in hopes of reading some tutorials and I can't believe I didn't comment on this one.

Anyway, I thought I'd congratulate you (even though it's super late)!! Neither me or my sister was planned. The Doc told my parents my mom wouldn't have kids. We laugh at that now.
