The 30s Circus Is In Town

We went thrifting the other day, and it was mostly a bust of a day. Except for this blouse. A 1930s cotton blouse. Red and white striped, crochet button closure on back neck, POUF sleeves like no other, cute button detail at front. I want to keep it, like no other, its so lovely. Lucky for you guys, I can't keep it... It's heading to My Etsy this week.
So if you need a bust of 38" and a waist 32" or less, this shirt is up your alley!

Here is an awful sample picture of the blouse, in all its cool 1930s glory.

1930s Blouse, $42.00
Solanah and I are off to hunt again tomorrow, so hopefully we will come home with more goodies to share with the world. I am so happy to have a friend to work with, its been such a blast shopping with her each week. <3

I was wondering, when you go shopping with a friend who also has a vintage etsy shop, how do you determine how to split the goods in a friendly way?

Krisalis,

I am so lucky to have a friend like Solanah to shop with. It works wonderfully, we both grab any and all that we can throw it in our carts, then sort it at the end.. we put back anything to damaged or stained. and then we divide it up down the middle, and trade if we love something more than another.

We work together really well, and I could not ask for a better shopping partner.

I have gone shopping with other girls, and it ended up with them being rude and taking things they were not even into or would not fit them anyway (to keep). that is no fun at all.

Hmmm I think it looks quite a bit older than the 30s.

Really lisa?
The sleeves are quite similar to most of the 30s patterns I have, in the long sleeve version. I dont know. it doesnt feel frail enough to be cotton older than the 20s at best ?

come down here and lets look it over. hahah

I miss Finland and the whole fleamarket culture :(. I never saw any decent ones in Ireland so I'm not sure they have the culture, and well, I'm about to leave Spain.

I once found an old vintage suit from a secondhand shop in Finland, and it was a handmade 3 piece suit in wool = 10 €!! I took it to my teacher and she dated it as a 30's-50's suit.

ARGH, I miss being able to go into a shop and get loads of cool stuff for 40€!
