I have been waiting impatiently for about 2 years now for my mother-in-law to give my husband a box of dishes that belong to him. They have been in her attic for a long time, and we finally received them this week and I could not be happier!
The dishes I refer to are US Navy issue dinnerware. A fun fact on these pieces are that they were only made from late 1800s until the 1960s. Many of the pieces I now have in my house are WW2 issues, and some even older than that!
I know if you don't collect old dishes this may mean nothing to you, but I was so excited to wash them up and rearrange my cupboard to make them all fit!

These are amazing!!!! They are what I wish and hope to have in my future home one day. I am insanely jealous!
So pretty!
I love, love, LOVE collecting old dishes. My family just doesn't understand! These are a great find.
Absolutely love them! (I have a nautical themed kitchen)

Wow! Cool!
Love them!! They remind me of dishes from cruise ships...not to mention the ones we have on my ship!
That's exciting - they look fantastic!

Wow they are so cool, i love collecting sets of crockery. Now that i have found my tea sets my next mission to find a vintage dinner set. That navy set is fab x
Oh you lucky girl, these are fab! I've NEVER seen anything like that here is Australia AT ALL! I'll bet they'd be worth a pretty penny on the collecting market.
Use, enjoy and smile. :)
i tend to mismatch dishes in favor of eclecticism and added some color to my kitchen, but i would scrap all of that nonsense for a collection like this!
Oh my! Those are so fantastic!!! I have a small collection of dishes started, although I've had to put the brakes on a bit since we've run out of places to store that sort of thing. ;) lol.
OMG these are ssooo amazing!!! ugh so lucky!
Were those made by Homer Laughlin? I know that they made some of them like that.
