I have decided to pull all of my Paypal out and put it in my bank.
I am no longer going to shop on Ebay. Its too defeating.
It's no longer fun. And I jaw-dropped when I went to the "buy it now" section. Its actually insulting the prices these sellers put on a simple dress. Forget about a Nice dinner frock, your looking at over $200.
maybe I started collecting vintage so long ago, that I dont remember these prices. But I think its a joke.
I will just shop at local vintage shops where the price is fair and hold out til summer and hit the Estate circuit.
I really really really want to spend some of my paypal dang it.

It's terrible when you actually have and want to spend the money, and nothing tickles your fancy.
We'll get to longview together even if it takes until your kids grow up, I swear it will happen.
;)
I recommend Etsy for vintage. Prices are much much more reasonable and there are some beautiful things on there. Ebay really is out of hand
Although many of the Buy-it-nows are quite high, I've seen many amazing pieces go for a song at auction. There are still deals to be had, they're just a bit more hidden now.
That being said, I went to an estate sale this weekend and SCORED. I'll send some luck your way!
There are def. some bargains out there - just not on Buy it now, I was just checking out auctions and searching those under $50 - there were some hot dresses ending in the next few hours - it takes a little more digging ( and ebay has really messed up the search with their "best match" organization) They put sellers at the top who have perfect star scores , offer free shipping ,and make the most $$ at the top, then all the small sellers (i.e. the bargains) are towards the bottom .
oh yes, I know. i am a pretty savvy ebay stalker. and can usually find hidden gems.
but i bought vintage back when you could get a really nice dress for under $25. and now you cant get ANYTHING for near $25.
I've been frustrated lately with the lack of reasonably priced vintage on Ebay too! So you're not alone. ;) Perhaps it's just a passing phase with the internet buying scene? At least that's what I'm hoping...
