An ode to I. Miller

EDIT: these shoes sold for ?!???!????!

US $579.99

I love I. Miller shoes. This is a most recent discovery, that has sucked me in.

I. Miller makes some of these most simple, yet gorgeous shoes you will ever see.
In the world of vintage shoes, I strongly urge you to own a pair of I. Miller heels. Heck, they are even comfy to wear too!

Right now on ebay, there is a pair from the 30s, that I would love to get my hands on.

That is actually another new obsession of mine, the 30s.
I love the 40s, but the power shoulders look wonky on me, the 50s can get too stereotypically cherry printed.
but the 30s, ah the 30s, what a refreshingly feminine simple time. Bell capped sleeves, 4,6,8 gored skirts! Yes darlings, I am smitten.

I watched the movie "Changeling" with Angelina Jolie last night, and when they moved through the years to the mid 30s, I could have stolen the clothes off her back!
Of course, I would love to show you pictures, but my google-fu is not working and I cant find any of the dresses she wore at the end of the movie.
Apparently, this movie, and Jolie in particular has sparked some sort of 20s revival.
That should be fun shopping on ebay if you were a fan of the 20s before the movie. HA!

oh and I'm totally obsessed with the 30s too. I've been searching for a good 30s dress pattern (Maybe the antique show will have one) since I'm afraid to wear the one 30s dress I have. We should live in England in the 30s and go to parties at mansions and wear fancy dresses.
