Thrifty Threads.

In an attempt to be a more thrifty vintage-ette I set out on a mission to sew my own clothes.
In specific I am focusing on basic day wear to add to my closet.
My first attempt at Vintage garment making was this lovely Butterick Pattern.

Its a blouse pattern in 3 variations, although I kind of picked a few pieces from each to create my blouse.
I suppose I am really lucky, because I did not make a mock-up muslin, and just threw it all together. It fits like a perfect pleasant glove!

Some of the instructions eluded me, and I just kind of dove in head first, but I think it turned out spledid.

I am sure you would love to see the results:

Oh it turned out so cute! Love the fabric too. If the size on the pattern is yours then I need to give you some of my vintage sewing patterns. Some are too small for me, but I cant let them go to just anyone ;)

That is so cool! I've been wanting to try out my vintage patterns for soooo long, but I haven't sewn since I was a kid. You may have given me the inspiration to give it a go!
