For the love of day-wear

I often have a couture imagination when it comes to vintage clothing. I oogle lavish dresses and tend to ignore the wardrobe basics.
The problem is, I have no cocktail parties to attend, no gala events, no silent auction dinners, so I need not own a $300 Ceil Chapman frock.

To combat this I have been making it a point to only invest in day-wear and wardrobe necessities. Today while I was visiting at The Urban Eccentric, I nabbed this wonderful little blouse. It has grey and red roses on it. The blouse matches perfectly with my red and grey hat that I picked up there on another recent trip.

I cant explain to you how lucky I am to have a local Vintage shop that is as amazing as the Urban Eccentric is. You can get the best deals in little vintage shops, and no shipping to boot!

I suffer from the same syndrome!
I think that's a great daywear look and it is so difficult to find vintage daywear in such good condition.
Good score!

If you sew, you can always go that route too :) That has been my new mission. sewing blouses.

Chris once suggested we all have a fancy dress party to wear our impractical fancy dresses. I say that is a fabulous idea.

Very cute, I just love that hat, for some reason its difficult to find a nice red hat, and they look oh so good!

You look lovely in your blouse - I'm trying to resist cocktail dresses and invest in day-wear too! Lucky you to have a good vintage store nearby - how I wish I did! Vintage is always expensive in my area xx
